If that doesn't work, take out The Sims 3 folder from Documents/Electronic Arts and put it somewhere else then stsrt the launcher and see if you're still having the issue. Good luck! WebJan 24, 2013 · If the launcher opened outside of Steam either for a browser link or clicking on a sims3pack file or something like that it will not install the content. At least for me it won't, so make sure you play the game from Steam and have the launcher open that way before trying to install anything.
